Competition Teams
KinderComp
KinderComp is our youngest group of competitive dancers that consists of Kindergartners through 2nd graders. As they only attend one competition, they get a taste of the competition dance world prior to committing to our full Pre-Competition and Competition Programs. Dancers participating in KinderComp should expect extra costs due to Competition fees.
They will practice one-45 minute class per week, where they will learn their routine as well as other basics similar to those introduced in our K-2 Combo classes.
Pre-Competition
The Pre-Comp Line is made up of 1st and 2nd graders entering into competition at JSOD. Similar to our regular competition lines, dancers participating in Pre-Comp can expect additional practice times, costs, and overall commitment. Upon registration, we assume dancers and families are prepared to complete the entire season.
The Pre-Comp Line competes at 4 competitions, including Nationals (typically in Wisconsin Dells)
Dancers on this line can choose which style line to participate on.
Competition
Our Competition Lines are for dedicated dancers prepared to perform at regional and national competitions. Students grades 3rd-12th attend Auditions in July prior to the season starting to be placed in appropriate classes.
Competition Line dancers are required to take a weekly Ballet and Technique class to continue improving their strength, flexibility, and overall technique.
